Looking for a “Bright Start” ?

Boca Raton, Fla. Capitol Lighting, the award-winning lighting company, is launching a groundbreaking, paid-training program, Bright Start. This internship opportunity will teach a select group of candidates valuable skills in retail sales with a focus on the lighting/home furnishing industries and the possibility of full-time employment at a Capitol Lighting location.

The innovative four-week program will provide up to eight participants, of any age, real-world training and experience. At the end of the program, top interns who shine the brightest will have the opportunity to be placed into full-time positions at one of eight Capitol Lighting locations in Florida and New Jersey.

Participants will also have the chance to receive industry certifications such as the Lighting Associate (LA) program by the American Lighting Association (ALA), which is approved for CEU credit by the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED). The Lightopedia.com training program will focus on lighting basics, technologies education and industry news. Other informative and educational seminars given by the likes of Casablanca Fan, LeGrand Controls, Kichler Landscape Lighting, will provide participants valuable insight and product knowledge.

“The purpose of the Bright Start program is to assist those looking to make a career change, help those newly joining the work force, as well as those rejoining the work force by providing valuable skill set certifications and the opportunity for full-time employment,” said Eric Lebersfeld, president of Capitol Lighting. “We are excited to be able to create new jobs in the South Florida area and are enthusiastic to work with what will surely be a terrific class of interns.”

Selected participants will be scheduled to work from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., five days a week for four weeks at $10 an hour. Those interested can apply at jobs@1800lighting.com by February 6th. Bright Start runs from March 5th though March 30th.
