A multicultural company with a vision to “create and fulfill the desire for distinctive home furnishings,” Currey and Company has come out with some of the most fascinating lighting compositions just in time for the holiday season.

Currey and Company began as a purveyor of historic garden furnishings as founder Robert B.  Currey opened Garden Source Furnishings in 1988.  The primary purpose of this company was to create and market classic garden furniture from the Winterthur Museum and the Smithsonian Institution.

Soon these collections were accompanied by an American collection of garden accessories, followed by an outstanding collection of lighting products.  By the early 1990’s, Currey ’s lighting category was a booming success and the company was renamed “Currey and Company.”

Currey and Company continues to lead, featuring some of the most fantastic crystal chandeliers and wall sconces and exquisite holiday light fixtures.

The “Antiquity” chandelier by jewelry designer, Shannon Koszyk, brings rock luxe to her new Currey and Company lighting line.  Featuring generously draped chains that make the fixture 79 inches tall, finished in Old Iron and Aged Brass. Part of her “Rock N Roll Luxe” collection, the “Antiquity” chandelier also revives the spirit of old Hollywood mansions and the grand houses built in the 1800’s.

Shannon Koszyk reports to Residential Lighting magazine:

“Most of my inspiration comes from music and fashion.”

A fan of rock legend Mick Jagger, Koszyk’s style is clearly Rock N Roll with an edginess that adds a unique twist to her elegant crystal chandeliers and wall sconces.  She describes her vision and combination of elements as  “the point where luxury meets grit.”

Other inspirations for Koszyk’s holiday light fixtures and lamps include rosaries, the old country estate and grand mansions.
