This decorating question was posed over at the Ask Meta Filter. Here we had an apartment dweller considering new shades for sconces that were, frankly, hopeless.

The problem was that folks suggested ideas that were either fire hazards, unattractive bare light bulbs or new shades that were only slightly less expensive than some of the wonderful sconces we have in our Clearance Area online! Why cover up an ugly duckly in an evening gown, when you can have a new beauty for nearly the same price?

We feel your pain, why not go the fire safe, glass safe way and buy new sconces? It won’t break the bank, we’ve got a bunch in our Clearance Area and we add more every day!
